As we grow older many changes start to happen throughout our body and when back pain begins, it can be the worst. Spinal Stenosis is one of those things that can happen. When pressure is put on the spinal cord, it can cause tremendous nerve pain. The spine also becomes narrowed in one or more of these three main sections: The center of the spine, the canals where nerves branch out from the spine, or the space between the bones of the spine.

This can be very painful and uncomfortable. It is very common for this discomfort to happen around the back of the neck or in the lower back, and it can even travel all the way down to the back of your leg. Symptoms of Spinal Stenosis may include numbness, muscle weakness, impaired bladder, leg and arm weakness, balance problems, and lower back pain while standing or walking. Spinal Stenosis starts happening as we start to get older. Other causes can be arthritis, hereditary, trauma, falling, or tumor of the spine.

Physical therapy can improve your spinal stenosis. There are many exercises that can help reduce the pain. Here at The PT Experience we provide a friendly and relaxing environment. We are also unique because we use special equipment as well as provide you with independent exercise programs.
